Greetings zoners!
I'm Blindy4Jesus and I'm new to this whole Zone thing.
Regardless, I'm a long-time windows user (I've used Windows XP-8.1).
Recently (and I mean very! recently), I have considered geting a Macintosh computer.
Does anyone have any advice?
If you have been fully part of windows for as long as you have you would really want to consider if a mac would be right for you. Why would you want one? Would you be willing to relearn what you already know from Windows to use one? These are some of the questions you'd have to ask yourself.
Their is a board on this.
You can do a search for it.
If you like, I can provide the link.
Also, this topics in the wrong place.
I'd say they same, why do you want a Mac?
That will help you decide.
Whoops. Guess I should've put this thread in accessible devices.
Anyways, Why do I want a mac? Well... for starters...
I'm sick of the viruses, constant lag, and overall clunkyness of windows -- I just want a computer that works without constantly defragmenting or reinstalling of the OS.
Second,
I've heard about how accessible the Mac is out of the box; That means I won't need a third-party screen reader like JAWS or NVDA.
At this point, switching from windows to the mac makes sense.
Well, it's only money, so buy one and see what you think.
You could get all the advise, but until you actually try one, you'll not know.
Mac's aren't free of problems, but you'll figure that out as well.
